A Career as an Automotive Technician (JTJS52010)

It is not that hard to get unlimited free automotive leads if you do it the right way and know what you are doing. With hundreds of millions of Google searches for cars and trucks every month, you now have the ability to quickly and easily make contact with many prospects.

Get Your Information Out There

You can reach thousands of prospects each month if you put your contact information in front of them when they are searching for a motor vehicle to buy. This means you have to find a way to get your contact information shown on the pages where they are looking, instead of your competitors’ information. When they see your name instead of theirs they will call you or stop by and see you instead of the competition.

Due to search engine changes in 2011, you can now dominate your local search market for new and used cars and trucks. This is because Google and others now give search engine results based on local markets and local geographical areas. This is good for smaller local companies. It means you now have a way to be #1 online in your market.

How To Get A #1 Ranking

To get the #1 ranking in Google and all the other search engines means you must have a plan to get your name and contact information listed in so many places that Google can’t ignore you. Every time your name shows up somewhere online it is a vote for you to be #1, and the car dealer with the most votes will be ranked #1. We do this through a program of internet domination that includes every type of website you can think of, including blogs, forums, other local websites, business directories, articles, press releases, twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.

Once we do this, then Google starts noticing and believes you have a good website and a good car dealership because you are being mentioned so often in so many different places. How many other web cites and references it takes all depends on how competitive your market is.

If you are trying to be #1 for all the search terms for new and used cars in a large city it will take more time and more work than a small city. With our domination system we have found we can get a car dealer to #1 even in a large city eventually.

Your Window Of Opportunity

What is in your favor right now is the fact that most of your competitors don’t know about all the changes in local search rankings. This gives you a window of opportunity to be ranked #1 now pretty quickly, at least in your own city.

We have found that with the right help from an expert you can shoot to the top of not just Google but all the other search engines as well, including YouTube and other Google-owned websites. The problem is that many internet marketing firms are still using methods that worked a year or two ago but don’t work anymore. To get to #1 in your market means getting leads from many different websites, forums, directories and blogs, not just Google.

Massive Online Presence

The approach that works for local internet domination is to have a massive online presence, and to accomplish that we invented something called The Massive Lead Machine for automobile sales. This not only gets you top ranked it also gives you an ongoing, unlimited amount of free car leads from the internet. The Massive Lead Machine succeeds in positioning your business name and contact information in thousands of internet locations so that people online looking for vehicles will always be seeing your name and so will call you or stop by for a test drive.

Positive Online Reviews

Not only that, we have also created a system to get your business a lot of positive online reviews and a lot of favorable comments in discussion websites. This creates the most valuable form of advertising – word of mouth advertising. And this not only works better than expensive paid ads, but it is also free once you have a Massive Lead Machine working for you generating unlimited internet leads.

Dominate Your Market

All of this online publicity and word of mouth advertising, along with links, reviews, citations and top search engine rankings, will allow you to truly dominate your local market for auto and truck sales.

If your goal is to dominate your local market then go to this website and sign up for your free report on using the internet to generate unlimited leads to sell motor vehicles => [motorvehicle.marketingadvertisingfirm.com]. Or just call Leo J. Vidal at 800-535-4072 to get started right away selling more cars.

Buying a used car: the ultimate guide (Sponsored)

When it comes to buying a previously owned vehicle, buying from used car dealerships is typically safer than purchasing an automobile from a private seller. Buying a previously owned vehicle over a used one provides the consumer with a variety of benefits. While there are a huge amount of listings for private sellers located everywhere from local newspapers to the Internet, buying from a dealer will give you more protection than buying privately. Many dealers offer certifications and other protections. Plus, you will get the assurance that comes with seeing the automobile in person, test driving it, and having it checked by a mechanic before you purchase, while buying on the Internet may not give you all of those reassurances.

Used car dealerships cannot legally sell you a broken car, which is not completely true when buying privately. A vehicle must meet certain quality standards before a dealer can sell it to you. A vehicle that has a basic mechanical issue or problem that causes it to not operate properly such as brakes that don’t function or broken shocks, cannot be sold by used car dealerships. It is also not in the interest of dealers, which are businesses, to sell improperly operating vehicles. Some vehicles may be sold “as is,” in which case you should take extra precautions before you hand over any of your money. Dealers also sell vehicles that are “certified,” meaning that the automobile has gone through some kind of thorough inspection, and it may come with a warranty.

Although buying from a private seller is often cheaper, there are more risks associated with doing so. The vehicle could be stolen, or it could be damaged in some way that may not be immediately evident or detectable. If when purchasing from a private seller you come across any damage or problems down the line, you will need to be sure that you have evidence and that you have a way of contacting the seller.

Used car dealerships can also help you with the process of transferring all of the associated paperwork involved with ownership, and they also may be able to help you with financing. Some even accept trade-ins. It is pretty unlikely that you will find any kind of deal even close when buying privately. Plus, when buying from a dealer, you will not need to have several meetings with people you do not know and go through the process of having the vehicle inspected by a mechanic, and test-driving the vehicle over and over again. Used car dealerships simply give you a variety of benefits you will not find elsewhere.

Looking for used car dealerships in Kenner, LA? We have an unbeatable selection of used cars and financing options to fit any budget. Check out our inventory today at raybrandttoyota.com.

Brian Pasch’s Previews His New Article: ‘The 6 Horsemen of Automotive Marketing’

Every vehicle, whether car or truck, requires seven automotive fluids in order to increase lifespan and maintain optimal and safe driving conditions. These fluids can be purchased at any store that has an automotive department, or at a local auto parts store, at prices between 4 and 15 dollars depending on the brand and retailer. Since these fluids are readily-available and inexpensive to buy, there is no reason why you shouldn’t stay on top of them. Learn your vehicle’s factory maintenance schedule so you can know exactly when each fluid needs checked or replaced. Keep in mind that some fluids are best changed out by a licensed automotive technician, so be sure to find an auto shop you can trust for quality work and fair prices. Continue reading to learn the seven essential automotive fluids every vehicle needs to drive safely and stay in good condition for years to come.

Motor Oil

Engine oil is of course one of the most well-known and significant fluids for cars and trucks. It lubricates all the inner workings and moving parts of a car engine’s crank case to reduce heat-causing friction. Without proper lubrication at all times, parts like pistons, valves, and more, are subject to damage. This renders a motor useless.

Depending on the make and model of your particular vehicle, the schedule for oil changes will vary slightly. Check your owners’ manual or consult a trusted local mechanic for information about your vehicle’s factory scheduled maintenance. Generally, motor oil should be changed every 5,000 or 6 months, whichever comes first.

Transmission Fluid

Transmission fluid is red in color and very similar to motor oil in terms of its function. This is because it cools and lubricates the inner workings of a vehicle’s transmission. This keeps the vehicle’s gears in good condition, allowing for easy gear changes and functionality. Generally, this fluid should be changed one time per year. Again, check your owner’ manual, or download one online, for specific maintenance schedule information.

Radiator Fluid/Coolant

Your vehicle’s coolant is a must, since without it, your car is sure to overheat. Radiator fluid, also called coolant, is a 50/50 combination of solution and water, and can come in a variety of colors depending on the brand and type you buy. It keeps the engine from overheating by circulating through the engine and collecting heat, returning it to the radiator, and then dispersing this heat outside. This should be changed as needed, depending on how often you drive and your driving habits. Generally, coolant should be changed every 3 to 5 months, or 3,000 to 5,000 miles.

Brake Fluid

In terms of passenger safety, you might say brake fluid is the most important for a vehicle. Brake fluid allows for proper hydraulic functioning of the car brakes. When you push down on the brake pedal, the brake fluid compresses, sending hydraulic force to the brake pads and shoes, which provides the friction needed to stop a vehicle. Generally, brake fluid should be replaced every 2 years, or 30,000 miles. Check your owners’ manual for details.

Power Steering Fluid

Power steering fluid is pressurized by a small hydraulic pump that is powered by the vehicle’s engine. It allows the vehicle to turn easier. This fluids enhances the steering mechanism of a car or truck. Without it, it would feel as if the steering wheel weighs 100 pounds. This fluids needs replaced generally every 4 years or 60,000 miles.

Battery Fluid

If your vehicle has a “maintenance-free” battery, then you will not be required to check its fluid levels. But for older model cars and trucks, batteries have individual cells that need to be refilled with battery fluid. This fluid, of course, maintains the car battery’s power, allowing for turning the ignition and starting the engine. Battery fluid should be changed generally every 6 to 8 months or 7,500 miles.

Windshield Wiper Fluid

Most often forgotten or overlooked, windshield wiper fluid is an essential part of driver and passenger safety. This is a fluid anyone can re-fill themselves, as needed. Simply by this well-known blue solution at a gas station or auto parts store. Refill as needed.

The Evolution of the Automotive Industry | MEDC

From dealerships, rental agencies and repair shops (and more), the Canadian automotive industry provides numerous fulfilling and long-lasting career opportunities. In fact, the Canadian automotive industry is the sixth largest on the planet, accounting for 25% of the country's entire merchandise exports. According to the Automotive Industries Association of Canada, direct employment in the aftermarket (which deals with the manufacture, remanufacture, distribution, wholesaling and retailing of replacement parts, accessories, tools, equipment, accessories, chemicals and services) totaled 410,700 jobs in 2009.

Despite these numbers, you would be perfectly reasonable to assume that the industry's job prospects have taken a hit in the last few years. The economic downturn in 2008, along with accelerated automation and global warming posed tough challenges and led to a 21% drop in new car sales...which obviously had a trickle down effect in all areas of automotive manufacturing, sales and repairs.

However, the industry has bounced back in the last two years, and as Windsor Star reporter Grace Macaluso recently reported, Canada's share of North American light-vehicle production is now at an all-time high (the number now stands at 17.3% of North American vehicle production, which is up from pre-recession levels of 16.8%). Automotive Training Center director Zyg Strecha believes this increased production points to improved job opportunities, adding that, "New vehicle sales are also up a few percentage points over last year, so the economics and employment opportunities are there".

Adding another extra boost is Canada's Economic Action Plan, which has helped firms modernize their operations to create and maintain jobs. This follows the restructuring assistance the Canadian government provided to prevent the collapse of large companies, including Chrysler and GM, both of whom have repaid those loans in full. The rejuvenated strength of the industry's biggest players, coupled with technological advances and the looming retirement of baby boomers, indicate that there are very bright job prospects in many segments of the vast auto industry.

If you are passionate about cars, therefore, now is the time to act on your dreams. To best prepare for these tremendous career opportunities, interested candidates should enroll in automotive training programs at auto repair schools with the best and most cutting edge training facilities. In order to step directly into the automotive workforce, students should look for automotive training programs that allow them to spend the maximum amount of time in real, industry standard auto repair shop environments. The best of these auto schools, for example, will use modern classrooms, bays, hoists, scanners for vehicle diagnostics and emissions testing, welding equipment, alignment hoists, modern paint booths and mixing rooms (for auto body repair) and much more.

Don't be scared off by the news. Your career in the automotive industry is still within reach.

Automotive industry in India

The challenge for companies in the glass making business, especially those with significant resources and financial strength, is to differentiate themselves by developing and introducing new profit opportunities for their customers, something that can be done by meeting the requirements of the industries we serve as well as anticipating future trends and demands.

Already we are witness to an evolution of new coatings, films, polymers, chemistry, and glass patterns. But this challenge also includes our customers, who are creating new applications to create more value and demand for glass from the ultimate consumer.

This style of competition will require a redefinition of strategy to one of making the most of an opportunity rather than one of increasing market share or size.

To reap a disproportionate share of potential profits, business must have a more diverse set of competencies. Those who say "that's the way it is" will never have a future because what got you "here" will not get you "there." And since people change only when they have to, their minds, like parachutes, only work when they are open.

For this reason, management's attention must be expanded from day-to-day operations to a different course of direction. Decisive managers should not be buried in policies and procedures that hinder them from using their creative talents to address an opportunity.

While innovation can accelerate the pace, it can only partially determine the direction. Technology must be harnessed; it will never be a substitute for leadership that prefers action to rhetoric. The scarcest resource of all is time. The temptation is to reset the clock, but we cannot. Nature is the timekeeper and winning boils down to desire and effort more so than skill and experience.

Merely restructuring the current business model will not handle these consumer-driven technologies, nor can they be affected by administrative decree. Foresight must be matched with field execution. While the stakes are high, the financial health of a company depends on its role in creating tomorrow's markets.

Since consumers lack such foresight, it will be our collective duty to lead the public to the future. Twenty years ago, few consumers would have asked for cell phones, Internet access, global positioning systems or iPods. This is magnified by the fact that the average person today has access to more information on their BlackBerry or other smart phone than existed in the entire world just 40 years ago.

If we stand back from the rigors of daily business and take a distant view, we can witness the gestation phase of a new industry being born within the traditional glass industry. Creative glass manufacturers are spearheading this rebirth by trying to differentiate themselves not only from other domestic suppliers but also to shield themselves from less expensive commodity imports.

In the past, glass products were merely a "see through" item. Now glass is becoming ever more integral to our lives. This remarkable material, with its incredible combination of function, beauty and strength, is enriching contemporary life and we are fortunate that the core essence of our business lends itself to so many innovations.

In the coming age of a myriad of new products these innovations will have both a feature as well as a functional orientation. Consequently the marketing of these products will be more focused on the demanding desires of the end consumer rather than the competitive nature of purchasing agents. This will shift the business model to one where profit margins will be proportional to the creativity, knowledge, and ambition of marketing and sales personnel rather than the traditional cost-plus structure. This, in essence, is today's new playing field.

This situation may also provide a competitive advantage for large global glassmakers even as we see a proliferation of regional players. While size alone does not create a sustainable advantage, it does provide necessary financial resources to nurture and develop new technologies. It also provides the operating leverage, stamina, and global presence to bring them to market. At the same time, it can be a double-edged sword: large, bureaucratic organizations not in sync with the market tend to lose the correct balance between research and manufacturing capability. And while small companies may not afford the technological research, big companies must decide on the direction of technology as well as the protection of their intellectual property.

Historically, sheet metal has been used extensively to produce automotive body panels. Although sheet metal use has decreased with the advent of fiberglass body panels, sheet metal is still the most popular material for manufacturing automobiles today. The addition of lasers and robotics to the automobile manufacturing process has further expanded the way that sheet metal is processed.

Lasers

Lasers have been used in production facilities since the 1960's. Today, they are used to cut, form holes, engrave, weld or heat treat sheet metal for use in automotive production.

Lasers are used in applications that rely on precise measurements and exact alignments.

The adjustment of lasers is measured in micrometers, or millionths of a meter.

There are many different types of lasers used to alter sheet metal and plastics in the automotive industry.

Carbon dioxide laser- uses a mixture of carbon dioxide, nitrogen and helium to produce a continuous laser output

Continuous-wave laser- this type of laser produces light beams continuously rather than in controlled pulses

Excimer laser-emits light in a UV spectrum that is used for producing high quality edges on parts that are prone to cracking or thermal damage; it falls into the category of pulsed-gas lasers

Gas laser-any laser that uses a gas mixture as the lasing medium; common gases are argon and carbon dioxide

Pulsed laser-emits light in controlled pulses and is preferred for thin materials ; it can be used to create intricate details and work in tight corners without burning

Ruby laser-a solid state laser that uses a synthetic ruby crystal with a chromium impurity as the lasing medium

Solid-state laser-a type of laser that uses a crystal or glass as the host for an impurity to produce the lasing action; especially useful for precise measuring and spot welding

Yttrium aluminum garnet (YAG) laser-ranges in power from a few milliwatts to more than 400 watts; used for cutting, drilling, heat treating and welding operations

Robotics

Robotics are often used for repetitive tasks, monotonous jobs or those parts of the manufacturing process that are physically difficult or take place in environmentally unpleasant conditions. They are directed by computer programs and perform precise operations without human intervention.

Lasers and robotics have significantly increased the speed at which sheet metal can be processed in the automotive manufacturing process. Continued technological advancements in these two areas will further increase the cost effectiveness and productivity of automotive manufacturing facilities.

Car Buying Tips From a Former Salesman FT. David So

In the present epoch, people want to live a cozy life and always try to expand their comfort zone to get a more relaxed life. Whenever, there is a talk about convenience, a vehicle to drive you anywhere comes on top. Even, this commodity has become an important part of our everyday lifestyle and this makes it essential to own a vehicle for personal use. However, people get confused to buy amongst various models of cars available at automobile service providers and dealers.

Guidelines to Purchase a Vehicle

There are some simple guidelines to keep in mind while making a purchase without being cheated -

1. Analyze the market and auto dealers to check their services and deals without having intension to buy a vehicle.

2. Always try to get more details from car dealers or browse the internet to find out the price of the vehicle you intend to buy.

3. Select the vehicle that suits your requirements and falls into your budget. Also, consider the design and configuration of vehicle.

4. Prepare all the necessary paperwork that your dealer would ask at the time of making a purchase.

5. Get professional assistance if you want to go for a car loan.

Registration of the Purchased Vehicle

After the buying process ends, there comes the registration process of the vehicle. A registration is a kind of authorization or the permit that allows driving the respective vehicle on the streets and highways. The process is quite simple and easy, you just have to provide the state DMV office with a purchase record of the vehicle and other personal documents. However, to get the vehicle registered, you must have the Certificate of Title of that state and you must be above 16 years to get the vehicle registered.

To register a vehicle, you need to prove the ownership of the vehicle, like the invoice of the purchase, vehicle insurance, all kinds of state and county sales taxes paid along with the damage disclosure statement. Your application would not be accepted by the DMV office without the Damage Disclosure Statement. You have to submit a Vehicle Registration/Title Application Form (MV-82) to apply for registration. This form is easily available at the dealer's office or you can get it from the State DMV office. Moreover, you have to show your identification and age proof, to verify the name and age.

The Application Process

If you have purchased your vehicle from a registered dealer, the Proof of Ownership for a new vehicle will be the Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin (MCO) and a Dealer's Certificate of Sale (MV-50). It might be possible that dealer may not register the vehicle for you, then, take all the required ownership documents from the dealer with a completely filled Application for Registration/Title Form (MV-82) signed by dealer's representative. Always, examine the ownership documents carefully before closing the sale. Also, get the damage disclosure statement from the dealer.

By this time, you are done with buying a vehicle and its registration process, now enjoy a great and joyful time driving your vehicle.

Redneck Auto Repairs

Auto repair costs at a shop are basically comprised of labor and parts. Labor is typically calculated based on a standard "flat rate" estimate. Flat rate labor guides estimate labor time down to the tenth of an hour. For my example, if a starter for a specific vehicle pays 1.2 hours to change, the labor cost will be determined by multiplying the time by the shops labor rate, lets say the shops labor rate is $90.00 per flat rate hour (1.2 x $90.00=$108.00). Keep in mind that labor times can vary greatly depending on the year, model and engine size. Also automotive repair shop labor rates vary at each shop and from city to city. Labor time does NOT take in to consideration the requirement for special tools, experience or lack of.

Flat Rate or Actual Time

If the actual time it takes to repair the vehicle is LESS or MORE than the estimated flat rate time, the customer still pays the flat rate amount. More experienced auto technicians and techs with time saving tools can most of the time beat the flat rate time (AKA book time). The technician, if paid by flat rate has an incentive to do the job fast and correctly. If he makes a mistake and has to do the job again (commonly called a comeback) he does it the second time for free! Also keep in mind that a flat rate technician does not get paid time and a half for over-time, or for standing around waiting for work or parts. It's necessary for the technician to be productive and make up for this lost time by learning from his experience and buying tools that make him more efficient. Tools with exception of larger shop equipment items are usually the responsibility of each mechanic to purchase individually.

Parts Cost

The cost of the parts to fix the vehicle will depend on the deal the repair shop gets when they purchase the parts at wholesale, if they are new or rebuilt and how much their profit margin is. The typical markup is 30 to 40%, although this may vary. Yes, some money may be saved by shopping around and buying the parts directly, but most shops won't install parts provided by the customer. Also as far as the warranty goes, if a part fails that the facility provides, the shop will be responsible during the warranty period. If a part fails that was provided by the customer to the shop, the customer would be responsible for paying the labor all over again and handling the warranty replacement.

I personally would prefer to have a knowledgeable technician work on my car and repair it faster than the book time as opposed to having a less experienced tech work on my car longer to achieve the same results.

Tips for a good auto repair shop experience.

KPMG: Positive Trends in the Auto Industry

Pinterest is a rapidly growing social network founded in 2009 by Ben Silbermann. In December 2011 it hit the top 10 largest social network services with over 11 million visitors weekly. One month later, in January 2012 Pinterest had more visitors than YouTube and Google+. In March the same year, Pinterest became third most popular social network after Facebook and Twitter. In February 2013 it already had 48.7 million unique users worldwide, which means that it grew at 400 percent in just one year.

Before August 2012, Pinterest was not user-friendly as it is today, because a registration was not so simple. For user to register, an invitation was required. So if you don't have a friend who is already a registered member, you need to send a request to the administrator, which would later be approved, and you would get the invitation from the admin. Now it's not so complicated, you just need to type in your basic info and you're a registered member.

Pinterest and Automotive Industry is a social network based on pictures and videos you "pin" on your pinboard. You create Pinboards based on the content you want to post, and in that way you connect with users with the same interests. It's simple, user friendly and interesting. The dashboard is vivid and full of content, but not unnecessarily cluttered.

That makes Pinterest ideal for promoting products and services to the audience with right interests. But brand owners are not using Pinterest for this purpose as they should.

Automotive is a word which represents any form of self-powered vehicle. Automotive industry covers companies and organizations involved through the design, and selling motor vehicles.

The Automotive industry began in the 1890, and for many decades the United States led the world in automobile production. In 2009 China produced more twice the number of cars made by the USA in second place. As do most industries, and automotive industry had many rises and falls. For example, car production in 2009 was 12 percent less than it was in 2008. But in 2010 it grew by 26 percent compared to the previous year.

The market is won by low prices and high quality products, but most important part is marketing. Advertising, or bringing products to targeted potential customers, is crucial, and the best way of advertisement are social networks. Brand owners are not using social networks to the extent as they should, mostly Pinterest, for it is less popular than Facebook and Twitter. But they are making mistakes, especially Car manufacturers, for Pinterest is ideal for promoting automotive industry and their products. People like cars, and they enjoy being the first to post a picture of a brand new model or to share with their friends. So cars are basically really popular, for all ages and genders, for all types of people. That makes it easier for car manufacturers to target the audience, and Pinterest is a right place to do it. So, for commercial use by Pinterest and Automotive Industry, will definitely be a right choice.

This means you have to find a way to get your contact information shown on the pages where they are looking, instead of your competitors' information.

To get the #1 ranking in Google and all the other search engines means you must have a plan to get your name and contact information listed in so many places that Google can't ignore you.

What is in your favor right now is the fact that most of your competitors don't know about all the changes in local search rankings. This gives you a window of opportunity to be ranked #1 now pretty quickly, at least in your own city.

We have found that with the right help from an expert you can shoot to the top of not just Google but all the other search engines as well, including YouTube and other Google-owned websites. The problem is that many internet marketing firms are still using methods that worked a year or two ago but don't work anymore.

This creates the most valuable form of advertising - word of mouth advertising.
